To use the BURSTS app you will require an iOS or Android smartphone or tablet meeting the minimum specifications below:

• iOS version 14 or newer
• Android version 11 or newer

To support Augmented Reality (AR) mode:

• To view Jasmine in AR mode, your device must support ARKit(Apple) or ARCore(Android). To identify whether your device supports these features, please refer to the device manufacturers website.
• Make sure the room you are in is well lit.
• Ensure the rear camera of the device you are using is not obscured and is functional.
• Ensure you have a sufficient clear space for the AR mode (minimum 1m x 1m).
• Ensure that you pan the camera slowly and fully around the space you wish to view AR Jasmine in to enable AR mode.

You can set both children up on BURSTS. Set your first child up using these instructions below and then click on the link at the bottom to follow the instructions to set up your second child on BURSTS. 

1. Once your school has set up access for their families, you will be sent an email with a BURSTS unique join code for your child.
   
   
2. Take a few quiet minutes to do this ahead of playing BURSTS with your child/children.
   
   Follow the instructions on your email including downloading the BURSTS app on your phone and entering your child’s unique join code.
   
   N.B. Check your junk/spam folder if your email doesn’t arrive.

Once you've added your first child, click here for step-by-step instructions to add your second on BURSTS. 

If you haven't receive a unique join code for your second child, please ask your school to resend the code for that child.

Yes you can. BURSTS is aimed at children between 4-7 years, but the whole family can play and you can also add an older child to the BURSTS app.
- Click on parent mode (the menu icon in the top right-hand corner of the app).

- Enter your password and press submit.

- Click on Manage profiles.

- Click on Add another profile.

- Select No if you child is over the age of 7 or Yes if you have a join code for another child.

- Add your child’s name and choose an avatar.

Yes you can! There are fun-themed frames and face filters that your child can unlock and which you can use to take photos. You can share with your child’s teacher through your normal channels. If you’re sharing on social media, remember to #BURSTS and tag us in @burstsapp.

As the name suggests, BURSTS provides ideas for children to engage in short bursts of activity, so it might be that you only play for a short period each time. Just 10 minutes a day will make a massive difference! The adventures, challenges and games are designed to allow the child choice – just like a computer game.

Yes, you can. Select ‘Forgotten password on the BURSTS app to reset your password.
